Make an appointment

The Pediatric Allergy Centre Amsterdam is part of the Department Pediatric Medicine VUmc and the department of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine and Allergy of Emma Children’s Hospital (EKZ) which is part of the Academic Medical Centre (AMC) in Amsterdam. We offer pediatric patients and their parent(s) and/or guardian(s) diagnostic and therapeutic expertise and support in the field of allergic diseases.

You can make an appointment through our department Pediatric Medicine VUmc: +31 (0)20 – 512 5112. We can be reached on workdays from 08.00 AM until 05.00 PM (08.00 – 17.00 hrs).

First appointment

To make a first appointment you need to get a referral from your general practitioner or specialist. Usually your referring physician will send us the referral letter him-/herself. It is important that we have access to the referral letter prior to your first appointment. If your general practitioner or specialist hands you the referral letter, please send it to us as soon as possible. You may use a fax, scan/email or send the referral by mail. You will receive a confirmation of the appointment by letter. Appointments are scheduled as soon as possible after receiving the referral letter.

Follow-up appointments (check-up)

A follow-up appointment will be planned at the outpatient clinic of the Department of Pediatric Medicine VUmc location Louwesweg. When you would like to change or cancel the appointment, please contact this department by calling: +31 (0)20 – 512 5112.

Cancellation or reschedule an appointment

If you want to reschedule or cancel an appointment at the outpatient clinic or if you have any questions about your appointment, please contact the Department of Pediatric Medicine VUmc location Louwesweg by calling: +31 (0)20 – 512 5112. If you are suddenly unable to attend on the day of the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances or when you’re late, also please contact us as soon as possible by calling: +31 (0)20 – 512 5112.

Does your child has a contagious childhood infection, such as chicken pox or measles, or has he/she been in contact with these infections recently? Has your child been hospitalized in a foreign hospital within the last three months prior to your appointment in our hospital?
